Jean Whitlock

Jean Whitlock, age 72 of Wirtz went to be with the Lord
Sunday, May 19, 2013. She was a very active member of Halesford Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Roger L. Whitlock; parents, Louin and Avis
Garman; brothers, Mickey and Bobby; grandson, Justin
Whitlock. Surviving are her son, Roger "Woody" Whitlock II; daughter, Maria Whitlock; son, Kevin Whitlock and wife
Bethany; grandchildren, Jeannie, James, Bryan, David,
Katie, Adam, and Michael; seven great-grandchildren
Caridee, Dalton, Blake, Jaime, Tristyn, Westen and Sutton;
brothers and sisters, Teddy, Patricia, Jane, Joan and Rita,
Funeral services will be conducted from Halesford Baptist
Church 12 noon Wednesday, May 22, 2013 with Rev. Melvin Harris
officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 915, Rocky
Mount, Virginia 24151. Her family will receive friends one
hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center Rocky Mount/ Smith Mountain Lake.
