Even after her children were born, they spent many Sunday afternoons in the back of his pick-up truck riding around/helping with errands or riding horses. Jeanette was a graduate of Virginia Western Community College and attended Bridgewater College. She retired from Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo) in 2009. Prior to Wachovia, she was employed by Pioneer Title. During her years at Pioneer Title, Jeanette was a member of the Roanoke Valley Secretaries Association and was named Secretary of the Year in 1987. Jeanette was a longtime member of Antioch Church of the Brethren where she directed the Children's Choir, served on the Church Board and served in many other capacities. She also loved her monthly gatherings with her Class of 62 girls.
