Jeffrey Lynn Flora, Sr.

Jeffrey Lynn Flora, Sr., age 55, of Bassett and formerly of Boones Mill, was called to be with the Lord on July 20, 2011 surrounded by his family and close friends. Jeff was a loyal employee at Stanley Furniture Company for 29 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Diane Flora; grandson, Samuel Ethan Flora; his parents, Howard B. Flora, Sr. and Mary S. Flora and a brother, Kevin P. Flora. Jeff is survived by his soul-mate and companion for 21 years, Pauline Joyce of Bassett; son, Jeffrey L. Flora, Jr. of Las Cruces, New Mexico; daughter, Tracie F. Holt (Eddie) of Henry and Pauline’s children, Chris Joyce of Raleigh and Sheryl Bondurant of Figsboro. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Gabriela and Armando Flora, Daniel Robertson, Isaac and Kali Holt, Bryce and Cameron Joyce and Taylor Bondurant; his sisters, Suzette Bryant and Jennifer (Carmon) Bennett, both of Rocky Mount; his brothers, Howard B. Flora, Jr.(Susan) of Virginia Beach and Stephen D. Flora(Sandy) of Rocky Mount; a sister-in-law, Donna J. Flora of Rocky Mount; many nieces, nephews and special friends, including Benny and Sandra Stegall. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel on South Main Street in Rocky Mount on Tuesday July 26, 2011 at 11a.m. with Rev. Joe Dillon presiding. Interment will follow in Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren Cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
