Jeffrey Odell Scruggs

Jeffrey Odell Scruggs, age 57 of Boones Mill passed suddenly on Thursday morning, November 9 ^th , 2017. Jeff was born on February 28th, 1960. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Gloria Scruggs; and a sister, Carol Scruggs Hudson. Surviving are his beloved daughter, Victoria Scruggs; former spouse, Lucinda Scruggs; sisters, Debbie Mitchell and Kaye Mullis; nephews and niece, Chris Mitchell, Trey Cooper, Kasey Helms-Jacobs; many aunts and uncles that have passed and some surviving; numerous cousins; great-nephews and great-niece. Jeff loved his daughter and was very proud of her. He loved his family and numerous special friends that will miss his quick wit and opinions that he did not mind sharing with others. His friendships lasted for decades and his friends were very important to him. He was a very hard-working man. His career of work ended at Fleetwood Homes in the Service Department. Jeff played football in his youth, was the president of his high school chess club and was always a Harley man. He even hit the links occasionally. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel at 11 AM, Saturday November 11 ^th with Pastor Denver Turner officiating. Visitation will be one hour in advance of the service. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family respectfully requests no food and in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity, cause or event, in memory of Jeff.
