Jeremy "J.J." John Herman

Jeremy "J.J." John Herman, age 54 of Moneta passed away Friday, December 26, 2025. Jeremy (JJ) John Herman left this world far too soon, but he leaves behind a lifetime of music, memories, and love that will never fade. A truly talented classical guitar player, JJ expressed himself best through music. Whether practicing quietly or sharing his gift with others, his guitar was an extension of who he was-thoughtful, soulful, and deeply expressive. When he wasn’t playing, he enjoyed fishing, watching baseball, and relaxing poolside. He had a special love for his dogs and a deep appreciation for loyalty-both in animals and in people. One of the roles he cherished most was being an uncle. He adored his nephew, Morgan, and took great pride in that relationship, sharing laughs, stories, and moments that will be treasured forever. JJ was preceded in death by his mother, Connie, whom he carried in his heart always. He is survived by his father, John; his brother, Josh; sister-in-law, Leann, and; his nephew, Morgan. He will be remembered for his music, his gentle spirit, his love of life’s simple joys, and the way he made people feel welcome just by being himself. His family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
