Jeremy D. Scott

Jeremy D. Scott, age 35 of Rocky Mount, born August 18, 1979 passed away from his earthly body on Thursday, April 2, 2015. His journey to Heaven takes with him his great love of family and friends.

Jeremy?s love for music is known by all. He was in numerous bands and played in lots of concerts. Jeremy graduated from Franklin County High School in 1997 and Ferrum College in 2001. Jeremy loved sports as a young man, playing basketball, football and his greatest love, baseball.

His gift of loving everyone and never having a bad word to say about anyone has given him countless friends.

Cancer took away a beautiful loving family man, but the memories we have of him will never be taken away. He was preceded in death by his mawmaw (whom he was named after), Arlene Dodd Cook; his pawpaw, Woodrow Cook; grandparents, Calvin and Ella Scott.

He leaves behind, but soon to be reunited with, his beautiful daughter, Melody Jane Scott; wife of 12 years, Amber M. Scott; his mom and dad, Sue and Johnny Arrington; father, Jim Scott; brothers, Jimmy, C.J. (Denise), Jason and Brice; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Cindy Kochanski; sister-in-law, Cat Kochanski, grandparents, Clark and Jerene Arrington, his very close friends and his best friend, his dog Macy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Trust Fund for benefit of his daughter, c/o Sue Arrington, 1469 Brick Church Rd., Rocky Mount, VA. 24151. So that family and friends may celebrate Easter, funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Bruce Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. ? 8:00 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
