Jerry Wayne Davis, Sr.

Jerry Wayne Davis, Sr., age 68 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, July 6, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Ella Hodges Davis; daughter, Jerrita Ann Thompson Lambert; granddaughter, Layken Ardena Davis; and brothers, Donald Lee Davis and Billy Joe Davis. Surviving are his wife, Debra Hodges Davis; sons, Jerry Wayne Davis, Jr. “J.W.” (Kelsey Hale), Donald Wayne Thompson; granddaughter, Kenzley Davis; and sister, Shirley Davis Hodges. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 3 p.m. Friday with Dr. Billy Shively officiating. Interment will follow in the Hodges Family Cemetery (Double Branch Rd.). His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
