Jerry Wayne Kendrick, age 75 went to be with his heavenly father on Monday, May 9, 2022. Jerry was born January 30 th , 1947. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Lois McPeak and father, Charlie Wade Kendrick; brother, Frankie Kendrick; and grandmother, Sue Kendrick. Jerry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Kendrick; his children, Lisa (Barry) Inman who resides in Chattanooga Tennessee, Brian Kendrick who resides in Martinsville, Virginia, Jennifer Kendrick, San Diego, California, Jason Wayne Kendrick, Rocky Mount, Virginia and Kaleigh Kendrick, Rocky Mount, Virginia; granddaughters, Robbi Jensen, Jami Jensen; and grandsons, Dylan Jensen, and Miles Kendrick; sisters, Charlotte Giffin, Marynell Ford, Marie (Joe) Minter; sister-in-law, Emily Perdue, Bonnie and Mike Walston; brother-in-law, Kenny (Pam) Perdue.
Jerry was a hard worker, excellent provider, and a great chef. His family was always his priority. During his lifetime, he excelled at many careers starting with being a paratrooper within the Army, working within nuclear power plants, working at Yokohama, Plygem, and Sand Hills Delivery Service. He also was an entrepreneur, always creating new paths of life for himself and his family.
The family is requesting donations in lieu flowers to be given to the American Heart Association or an organization of your choice.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Chapel. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
