Jerry Wayne Louthian, 59, of Wirtz, died Friday evening, February 25, 2005 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 29, 1945, son of the late Robert C. and Ella Cowan Louthian. Jerry was a graduate of National Business College and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He had a special love for animals.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda; daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay and Bud Mountcastle of Wirtz; sons, Todd C. Louthian of Hardy, and Brett C. Louthian of Wirtz; grandsons, Richard Wayne Mountcastle and Trent Wiley Mountcastle, both of Wirtz; brother and sister-in-law, Robert C. and Arlene Louthian of Fairfax Station; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren, 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Bruce Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service, S. Main Street, Rocky Mount.
