Jesse Edward Overstreet

Jesse Edward Overstreet, age 83 of Callaway died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Rocky Mount Health and Rehab. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Faye Overstreet; sisters, Virginia O. Gillispie, Elenor O. Jacobs; brothers, Orville C. “Mike” Overstreet, Bobby Ray Overstreet; and half-brother, William P. Nelson. Mr. Overstreet graduated from Montvale High School class of 1955. He served in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard for 27 years and was exceptionally proud of his service to his country. Surviving are his daughter, Gail Meador; and sisters, Christine G. Tuck, Gladys O. Buza and Nellie O. Parker. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Saturday. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Richardson Cove Cemetery in Sevierville, TN. In lieu of flowers, please support your local humane society. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
