Jessie Renick Guerrant

Jessie Renick Guerrant, age 95 of Callaway, Virginia went home to be with her Lord on November 21, 2010. She was born on March 1, 1915 to the late Benjamin Franklin and Lola Prillaman Renick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Moss Guerrant, to whom she was married 56 years. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Hettie Renick Bowman, Dr. Katie Renick Ingram; and seven brothers, Paul, Roosevelt, Ben, Jack, Stafford, Billy and Dr. Fred Renick. Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Florence G. and Thomas F. Draper; and her son, P. Franklin and Joan P. Guerrant; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was a retired teacher, having taught for 36 years in the Franklin County Public Schools. She was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church as well as Alpha Delta Kappa Society and the Rocky Mount Chapter #141 O.E.S. Funeral services will be conducted from Piedmont Presbyterian Church 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Interment will follow in Callaway Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Piedmont Presbyterian Church. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
