Jessie Wilson Robertson, Jr.

Jessie Wilson Robertson, Jr., age 72 of Glade Hill, passed peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 surrounded by his family after battling a long illness. He was born to the late Jessie and Gracie Blankenship Robertson. Mr. Robertson is survived by his sons, Landon (Lori) and Jarret (Shaye); four grandchildren, Aynslie, Camden, Savanna and Alexa; two sisters, Barbara R. Reynolds and Virginia R. Austin. Known favorably as J.J. or J.W., he was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served honorably in the U.S. Army. J.W. retired from Davis H. Elliot as a lineman and had a big heart. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice, Franklin Memorial Hospital, Veteran’s Hospital of Salem, VA, and Dr. Llavore of Carilion practice in Boones Mill for their wonderful care. A graveside service will be conducted at the Crook Family Cemetery (Pine Grove Road, Glade Hill, VA 24092), 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 with Pastor Ron Coleman officiating and military honors provided by Faith Fellowship Honor Guard.
