Jimmie Wayne Underwood

Jimmie Wayne Underwood, age 38 of 5873 Franklin Street, Ferrum, Virginia died at his home Saturday, July 6, 2013. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wilbert Thomas and Mamie Lee Woods; and paternal grandparents, Elton Lawrence and Eliza Willie Underwood. Jimmie Wayne was born in Rocky Mount, Va. to his parents, Jimmie M. and Darlene Underwood of Ferrum on November 5, 1974. Also surviving are his wife, Mandi Faye St-Jacques Underwood of 18 ½ years; daughters, Casey, Libby, Sasha, Gennie, Khayla, Bray and Kaya; sons, Seth and Ernie; sister, Eliza Marie Dillon; niece, Summer Marie Jefferson; nephews, Thomas Lee Jefferson and Brandon Michael Jefferson all of Ferrum, Va.; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jean and George Hanks of Boones Mill; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, William St-Jacques, Terry St-Jacques, Perry St-Jacques (Monica); several nieces and nephews; one great-niece and one great-nephew. Also surviving are lifelong friends, Don Marlowe, Keith Newcomb, Chuck Scott, and Jessie Yopp. He had several furbabies that he loved, too. Jimmie Wayne was the Production Manager at Underwood?s Custom Kitchens, Inc. in Ferrum, Va. He was a member of the Evangelistic House of Prayer in Ferrum. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Bud Nichols and Pastor Tommy Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
