Joanne Wright Holland

JoAnne Wright Holland, age 79 of Rocky Mount was granted her wings Monday, June 13, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Hobert and Susie Winifred Wright. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Jones; and her brother, Jack Wright. Surviving are her husband, Eldridge Holland; daughter, Karen Guthrie; three grandchildren, Jake, Catherine and Ty Guthrie; one sister, Betty Lou Morris; and brother-in-law, Gerald Holland. She was retired from SunTrust Bank with 35 years of service. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Gustavo Segovia officiating. There will be no visitation. The family request no food and in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church c/o Angie Weddle, 2300 McNeil Mill Road, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.
