Joel Edward Smith, age 73 of Wirtz, passed away Monday, June 18, 2007.
He was born on November 29, 1933 a son of the late Fred Edward and Lula Smith. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Margie Guthrie; brother, Alfred Smith; sisters, Edith Dudley and Gladys.
Mr. Smith is survived by his daughters, Cindy Hodges, Judy Bennett; sons, David Smith, Bobby Joel Smith, Andrew Lee Smith, Lyndon Bain Smith; sisters, Polly Altice, Alvie Hodges; best friend, Janice Fisher; many other family members, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
