Joel Amos Young

Joel Amos Young, age 76 of Henry went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Irene Young; and brothers, Larry, Donald and Benny Young. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Scott Young; daughter, Michele Young; sisters, Ellen Moorefield (Bobby) and Linda Harmon (Russell); brothers, Glen and Lester Young; numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his precious Hunter who called him “PopPop” and his mother, Hannah who was always there for him. Mr. Young was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was an amazing husband, father and friend who would help anybody in need. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
