John Garnett Cooke

John Garnett Cooke, 74 of Rocky Mount passed away Friday, October 11, 2013. John was the retired owner and operator of a trucking company, a United States Navy veteran. Surviving are his wife Lois Cooke; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and David Adams; granddaughter, Hilary Adams; one brother and one sister; special friends, Cheryl and Fran Lynch, Tommy Webster. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013 with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 4504 Starkey Road, SW, Suite 115, Roanoke, Va. 24017. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
