John Benjamin Flora

John Benjamin (J.B.) Flora, 92, of Roanoke, departed this life Thursday, December 13, 2012. Formerly of Boones Mill, he was a member of Antioch Church of the Brethren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Rose Minnix Flora; his brothers, Melvin and Buford Flora; and his sisters, Bethel Ash and Geraldine Saul. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Huldah F. Flora; daughter Gail F. Kidd and husband Joe of Roanoke; daughter Carla F. Williamson and husband Pat of Stephens City; son Grey E. Flora and wife Marilyn of Salem; grandchildren, Allison Kidd-Miller and husband Bradford Miller, David Kidd and wife Elizabeth, Stephen Williamson, and Sheri Williamson; great-grandchildren, Caleb Benjamin Kidd and Benjamin Claude Miller; step-grandchildren and their families; and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 915, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Memorial services will be conducted from Antioch Church of the Brethren 3 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 with Pastor Eric Anspaugh and Pastor Leo Johnson officiating.
