John "Johnny" L. Parcell

John L. Parcell passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2021, and joined the love of his life, Judy, in heaven.  Born January 22, 1940, to Major Carson and Annie Scott Parcell, Johnny was the youngest of nine children.  In addition to his wife Judy and his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sister-in-law Bill (Margaret) Parcell & Carson Parcell and sisters and brothers-in-laws Cora (Buford) Reynolds, Anne (Billy) Parcell, Hazel (Raymond) Williams, Margaret (Henry) Fralin, Blanche Parcell and Frances Parcell.  Left to cherish his memory are his children Sara (Kevin) Weterrings, Todd (Penny) Parcell and Debra (Jeff) Little.  He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Parcell, Mackenzie Parcell, Tyler Weterrings, Clayton Weterrings, and Cole Little.

Johnny is also survived by his sister-in-law Mary Parcell and many numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.   The family would like to thank Cindy Blackwell, Carilion Home Health, and Carilion Hospice for the care that they gave Johnny during the last months of his life.

A private service will be held in the near future.
