John Jefferson Martin

John Jefferson Martin, age 85 of Franklin County, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Guyda and Winton Hill; father, Julius Evans Martin; and brother, Witt Martin. Surviving are his wife, Lynda Martin; daughter, Sheila (Timothy) Hall; son, Jefferson (Brenda) Martin; step-children, Mary Swedberg and Stephanie (Barry) Moir; grandchildren, Jacob Timothy Hall, Taylor Noah Hall, Jacob Martin, Jaki Martin, Holli Marie (Josh) Stewart, Heidi Elizabeth Moir, Ashley Nicole (Robert) Jones, Amber Leigh Dudding and David Matthew Dudding; great-grandchildren, Lillian Nicole Long, Lyric Lei Jones and many more. John retired from the Roanoke City Police Department with over 25 years of service. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Berkshire Health & Rehab for their care and concern.
