John "Johnny" Parker Thompson

John (Johnny) Parker Thompson, age 72, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at his home in Snow Creek. He was born on August 2, 1948 to the late Lewis Dawson and Adele Perdue Thompson. Surviving are his brothers, Jim (Joyce) and Richard (Sue) Thompson; his much loved nieces and nephews, Emma, Sara, Adam, Brian (Maia) Thompson and great-nephew, Avery Thompson; cousins, Andy (Lynn) and Mark Grindstaff and many others; close friends, Doug and Janet Perdue and many other good friends and neighbors. Johnny enjoyed spending time with his friends, riding motorcycles, golfing and gardening. He was a friend to all and will be sorely missed. Due to the pandemic, there will be no funeral services at this time. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
