John Henry Scank, age 94, of Rocky Mount and formerly of Triangle, NY, died Monday, December 22, 2008.
He was born April 6, 1914 a son of the late Abram and Bernice Burris Scank. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Dot) Scank of Rocky Mount.
Mr. Scank is survived by his children, Diane Geib and husband George of Cheektowaga, NY, Linda Scank of Asheville, NC, Wayne Scank of Rocky Mount; three granddaughters, Colleen Geib of Rockville, MD, Jaime Geib of Columbia, MD, Robyn Evers and husband Robert of Ferrum; great-grandson, Forrest Evers of Ferrum.
Graveside services will be conducted from Mountain View Memorial Park 2 p.m. Friday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating.
His family will be receiving friends from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service on Friday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
