John Daniel Webb, Jr.

John D. Webb, Jr. “Droop”, age 67 of Rocky Mount passed away Monday, June 5, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, John D. Webb, Sr. and mother, Vivinee M. Webb. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Suzanne Webb; daughters, Amanda and Jordan Webb; sister, Dana (Roger) Bond; nephew, Ryan Bond and his daughters, Vivinee, Ava and Evelyn; niece, Kara (Rudy) Pena and their son Aiden; brother, Wayne (Robin) Webb and their son Cody; father-in-law, Rance (Diane) Allen; mother-in-law, Edith Handy; brother-in-law, Elton Allen. John solely opened, owned and operated Speedweigh Recycling, Inc. for 28 years. He was a proud member of “The Board.” He enjoyed spending time with his family, working at his business, fishing and golfing. He also loved Virginia Tech football and basketball. However, John loved nothing more than a good deal! In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Land Trust of Virginia.
