Johnny went fishing Wednesday morning, July 2nd, 2008. His line will never break, hooks will no longer snag, and bait will never run out.
He loved his family, fishing, and woodworking. A good, kind and gentle man, he was the best dad, husband and friend anyone could have.
Johnny was 70 years old and a resident of Cary, NC. He was retired from GE and had proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Hall, and his parents, Willis McCray and Vera J. Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Gwendolyn Adams; son and daughter-in-law, John and Daphne; sister, Betty and husband Frank Garcia; and grand-niece Casey, whom he loved like the daughter he never had, and many other nieces and nephews who were also very special to him.
A memorial service will be held at Flora Funeral Home in Rocky Mt, VA. 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 8th. Inurnment will follow at Bouldin Memorial Church in Stuart, VA at 3:30 pm.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:15 am on Tuesday, July 8th, at Flora Funeral Home.
