Joseph F. Columbo, age 82 of Union Hall went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2008.
“Joe” was a hardworking, generous, kind hearted Christian man who touched the lives of those who knew and loved him.
He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
Preceding Joe in death were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Colombo; three sisters, Elizabeth Woods, Nancy Pirozzi, and Constance Mantel.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Leona Emmalene Columbo; his four children, Carolyn S. Barnett and husband Paul, Janet L. Reese and husband John, Joseph J. Columbo and Nancy K. Bartolillo.
He was blessed with eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; his three siblings, August Colombo, Estelle Hunt and Anthony Colombo.
Funeral services will be conducted from Glade Hill Baptist Church 2 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 with Rev. David Long officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service and immediately following the committal service in the church fellowship hall.
