Went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2009.
Joseph Carroll Crandall, 87, died on April 27th 2009. He leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Marjorie, and was preceded in death by a son Joseph, Jr..
His legacy includes twelve children. Elizabeth Woods (Fred) of Claremont, NH; Margaret Holcomb (Wayne) of Williamsport, PA; Ann Hess (Jack); Rosemary Stoneman; Daniel Crandall; Arlene Jacobs; David Crandall (Ellen); Sylvia Clark (Freddy); Phillip Crandall (Gina); Esther Huff (Richard); and John Crandall (Michele) all of Rocky Mount, VA. as well as 55 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren.
Apostle Crandall’s dynamic life was devoted to the service of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was the founder of Blue Ridge Gospel Tabernacle and Blue Ridge Bible School in Franklin County as well as churches in Fountain, CO, Coudersport, PA, Williamsport, PA, Lake Placid, Fl and Sarasota, FL. Additionally, his 70 years of ministry included pastoring a number of churches spanning the east coast and serving as an evangelist internationally his entire adult life.
A memorial service will be held at Blue Ridge Gospel Tabernacle at 4 pm on Thursday April 30, 2009. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be sent to the Building Fund at Blue Ridge Gospel Tabernacle.
His family will be receiving friends one hour prior to services at the church.
