Joseph Ernandes

Joseph Ernandes of Rocky Mount, VA escaped the bonds of earthly life on February 25 ^th , 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Marie Ernandes; his nephew, Kevin Thomas Carlsen; and his great-nephew, Alexander Charles Ernandes. He is survived by his brother, Frank Ernandes (and wife Gisela); his sister, Anna Trott; nephews, Timothy, Kenneth, Gregory, and Christopher Ernandes; and nieces, Geraldine, Kathleen, Alison, and Gail; as well as numerous great-nieces-and-nephews. Joseph worked at Goodwill Industries in Roanoke. He enjoyed the friendship of a great number of people, including friends from Herrick House, Rocky Mount Baptist Church, and Faith Fellowship Church, as well as many others. Their many kindnesses will be well-remembered by his family. A viewing is scheduled for 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 28 ^th , at the Flora Funeral Home in Rocky Mount, followed by a 7 PM service conducted by Pastor David Slayton of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. A second visitation will be held the following morning, Thursday, March 1 ^st , at 10:00 AM at Resurrection Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM, with subsequent interment in the church cemetery. All are welcome. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
