Joseph Benjamin Gibson, age 60 of Boones Mill, died Monday, February 8, 2005 at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital.
He was a son of Charlie “Buster” Gibson and the late Edith Farris Gibson.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Nellie Alice Gibson, a daughter, Lisa Ann Johnson, three brothers and sisters in-law, Robert and Peggy Gibson of Boones Mill, John Gibson of Rocky Mount, Arthur and Gail Gibson of Rocky Mount, four sisters and brothers-in-law, Geneva and Douglas Chittum of Goodview, Martha and Joe Yopp of Boones Mill, Joyce and Larry McGuire, Ella and Donald Cooper all of Rocky Mount, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Graveside, Farris Family Cemetery, ll:00 A.M. Thursday with Rev. Ronald Coleman officiating. Friends may call after 3:00 P.M. Wednesday with his family receiving friends from 7-9 P.M. at Flora Funeral Service, S. Main St., Rocky Mount and other times at the home of his father, “Buster” Gibson, 65 Sunflower Lane, Callaway, VA.
