Joseph Leroy Masker

Joseph L Masker, age 64 passed away on Thursday February 14, 2019 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after battling a long illness. He was born April 27, 1954 in Carbondale, PA to Merritt and Marion (Goodwin) Masker. He lived most of his life in Hawley, PA where he spent many years at The Sherman Underwear Factory before moving to Glade Hill, VA. On June 17, 1977 he married what would become his lifelong best friend and partner Gladys Masker with whom he fathered three children. Joe loved spending time with his family and had a great passion for hunting, fishing, motorcycles and getting lost Driving on country roads. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Gladys Masker originally of Honesdale, PA and currently in Glade Hill, VA, Father Merritt Masker, Son Jim Masker and his wife Kim, Daughter Rebecca Masker, Granddaughters Alicia, Emma and Ciara, Sister in-laws Diane West and Michelle McCloskey as well as several Aunt, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded by his Mother Marion and his youngest Son Jacob. Joseph was a devoted member of The Westlake Baptist Church where a small service has been held in his memory. Any donations can made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention www.afsp.org . Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
