Joseph Francis Mcguire

Joseph F. McGuire, 84, died at his home surrounded by his loved ones on 12 February 2021. After a long illness, he is finally at rest with God. He was born April 19, 1936, in New York, New York, the son of Francis McGuire and Josephine Hickey McGuire.

Joseph was a 22 year veteran of the New York State Troopers. He retired an Investigator from the Warrants division in 1981 and was very proud of his time as a trooper. Joseph was also a veteran of the United States Army.

He was married to Mary Chapman McGuire for over 55 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters; Elizabeth Chotkowski of Alexandria, Va., Sharon Rosado (husband Darryl) of Sayville, NY, and Veronica Ruggiero of Port Jefferson Station, NY. : Seven grandchildren: Corey, Krysta and Tristan Chotkowski; Rebecca, Kaitlyn and Cassandra Rosado; Jacquelyn Ruggiero.

A Mass to honor his life will be celebrated 11 a.m. on 15 February 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi, 15 Glenwood Drive, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
