Joseph A. Stultz of Bassett, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. He was born on December 22, 1924 to the late Jesse Ben Stultz and Mary Lou Ramsey Stultz. He was the youngest of eleven children and was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 5 sisters. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lucy Beatrice Holcomb Stultz, was the loving father of Sandra L. Brunk of Gaithersburg, MD, father-in-law of J. Wayne Brunk of Gaithersburg, MD, and proud granddad of Lauren Louella and Amanda Jean Brunk of Gaithersburg, MD. Joe and Bea raised their family in Kensington, MD where Joe was a proud member of Washington Area Carpenters Union Local 132 for many years. Joseph was a WWII Veteran serving in the Navy in the Pacific with 555,000 sea miles logged. He was very proud of his service to our country and was part of every invasion from the Marshall Islands to Okinawa. Joe had a passion for life, enjoyed talking with people, loved to build, work on his "projects" and tinker around with cars. His sense of humor, big smile and passion for life was apparent to friends and family alike. The memorial service to celebrate the life of Joseph A. Stultz will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Fork Mountain United Methodist Church in Bassett, Virginia with Pastor Bobby Shively officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday, November 9th from 12 noon until the hour of the service. A luncheon will be given after the service by the Fork Mountain UMC.
