Joyce P. Finney

Joyce Finney, age 90 of Penhook, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, January 5, 2012. She was the only child of the late Albert Pearson and Ida Pearson Luce. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Clifford Luce and her husband, Edsel W. Finney. Joyce was a member of Snow Creek Christian Church and the Eastern Star for many years. Left to cherish her memory are her five daughters, Sharon (Max) Ward of Tucson, Arizona, Patricia Finney of Roanoke, Frances (Charles) Hutchinson of Vinton., Janet (James) Middlemas of Afton, VA, Kathryn Finney of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Sandoval, Charles Hutchinson, Jr., Jeffrey (Donna) Hutchinson, Lindsey Middlemas and Sarah Middlemas; two great grandchildren, Tye and Luke Sandoval; one step- great granddaughter, Kelsey Banton. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday at Finney Family Cemetery with Rev. Jim Compton officiating. Friends may call 1-4 pm Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
