Joyce Ann Waid

Joyce Ann Waid, age 83 of Rocky Mount passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lucy Truman; two brothers, Sherman Truman, and Eldridge Truman; one sister, Kathleen St. Clair. Joyce is survived by her husband, Curtis Waid; her children, Brenda Hedrick (Donald), Goldie Brown (Gary), Sharon Faye Greer (Stevie), David Frankie Waid, (Melisa Richards), Lisa Diane Waid (Lisa Persinger); nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; special friends, Jennette and Tom Pipenhagan, Emily Sue Wise, Brenda and Rachel Davis; special niece and nephew, Sheila Truman Angle and Donald Wayne Truman. Special thanks to her grandchildren for their care Kristi, Carrie, Tara and Brooke. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 with Pastor Roger Jones and Rev. Denver Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Hodges-Waid Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
