Juanita Williams Mason, age 83 passed away October 12, 2015 at Fork Mountain Rest Home, Rocky Mount, Va. She was born October 14, 1931 to Nellard Hunt Williams and Lilley Greer Williams. She was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd Williams and Wayne Williams, sisters; Audrey Taylor and Rachel Stone. She was also preceded in death by her husband Buren G. Mason. She was in the last graduating class of 1950 at Rocky Mount High School. She previously owned a drapery business in Collinsville for 30 years with her partner Jerry Hodge. She could make needlework projects, crocheting, embroidery, as well as draperies and slipcovers. She was very creative, if she could envision it, she could make it. She loved to sew, cook and read. She loved experimenting in the kitchen and created delicious meals. Her best times were spent with family and her children and grandchildren. She is survived by children Barry L. Mason, Jenny M. (Frank) Rorrer, Jr., grandson, Mal L. (Melanie) Rorrer, great-grandchildren, Katie Rorrer, Max Rorrer, Lilly Rorrer, brother-in-law; Buddy G. Mason (Pat) and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Brian Vaughn and Rev. Jyrone Denny officiating. Interment will follow at Mason Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
