Judy Diane Mcguire

Judy Montgomery McGuire, age 69 of Boones Mill went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 24, 2014. She was a devoted caregiver to many. Judy loved cooking, crocheting, her cats and feeding the birds and squirrels. She was a member of Glade Hill Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, Curtis and Christine Montgomery; husband, Sherwood McGuire and daughter, Tammy Myers. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Sarah Dillon; grandchildren, Dillon, Christine, Floyd, C.J. and Destiny Myers; 4 great-grandchildren; uncles, Malcolm Montgomery, Dallas Montgomery; cousins, Sandra Cundiff, Wayne and Rex Montgomery; special friends, Brenda Layman and Joyce Bower; her feline companion, Katie. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 with Pastor David Long officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Building Fund of Glade Hill Baptist Church, 6627 Colonial Turnpike, Glade Hill, Va. 24092. Her family will receive friends 5-8 pm Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
