Julia Parcell Kelly

Julia Parcell Kelly, age 96, passed away on March 23, 2016 at The Glebe in Daleville, VA. She was born in Franklin County, VA on November 19, 1919. She retired from teaching after over 40 years and spent her retirement years traveling the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hamilton & Eva English Parcell; her husband, JT Kelly; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth P. Gills and Manson Gills; and a brother, William Hamilton Parcell, Jr. She is survived by her three children, Joan (Douglas) Simons of Pleasant View, Utah, Patricia Kelly of Viera, FL, and Donald (Lisa) Kelly of Austin, TX; a brother, Robert (Lillian) Parcell of Rocky Mount; a special cousin, Noell (Peggy) Parcell of Rocky Mount; a sister-in-law, Anne P. Parcell; and many dear nieces and nephews and cousins in the US and Canada. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Glebe in Daleville, VA on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Roanoke Rescue Mission, Grandin Court Baptist Church or Alzheimer/Dementia Research are requested.
