Julia Laprade

Julia LaPrade, age 96 of Callaway, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. She was born on January 18, 1922 and was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Newton & Nannie Catherine Brubaker LaPrade and her brothers, Ernest LaPrade, Paul LaPrade and Roy LaPrade. Surviving are her nephews, Henry (Faye), Earl (Jane) and Kenneth (Brenda); nieces, Brenda (Paul) and Teresa (Allan); 5 great-nephews; 5 great-nieces; 8 great-great- nephews and 7 great-great-nieces; a friend Brian Harmon. She became a member of the Antioch Church of the Brethren at the age of 10, and she faithfully served and attended there all her life. She taught in the public school system for 40 years. She worked and volunteered at Camp Bethel for many years. Services will be held at Antioch Church of the Brethren on Saturday, September 15 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Andy Duffey and Rev. Noel Naff officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
