Junior James Mitchell

Junior James Mitchell, age 76 of Wirtz went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 16, 2014. He was born November 23, 1937 and was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Barbara J. Mitchell. Surviving are his two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Donald Ayers, Charlene and Bonifacio Guzman; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and four sisters. Junior will be missed by us all. Graveside services will be conducted from the Mitchell Family Cemetery 12:30 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Melvin Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County. His family will receive friends 11-12 p.m. prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
