Junior Spencer

Sam “Junior” Spencer, age 74 of Callaway, passed away Tuesday April 8, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Gillie Spencer; wife Nancy Spencer; brothers Roy, Troy, Henry, and Elmer Spencer; sister Ruby. Surviving are his children, Bonnie Smith and husband Billy Joe, Donnie Spencer and wife Karen, Wanda Mills and husband David, Becky Young and husband Daniel; grandchildren Tina Manning and husband Steve, Betty Pickeral, B.J. Smith, Rob and wife Sarah, Derek and wife Monica, Meagan Spencer, Steven Mills and Kelly, Jesse Young and Jordan Craighead; nine great¬-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Pauline Spencer and Beulah Spencer; brother-in-law Harold Jones and wife Daphene; sister-in-law Patricia Wainwright; nieces and nephews; special friend Linda Buckner. Funeral ser¬vices will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008 with Rev. Ronald Coleman and Rev. Bill Doss officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday with his family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
