Justin Broderick Nagel

Justin Broderick Nagel, 31, of Lynchburg, Virginia, left this world unexpectedly on November 26, 2025 in Roanoke, Virginia. He was born May 3, 1994, in Roanoke, Virginia. He was the son of Jason Nagel and Elizabeth Nagel.

Justin entered life wide open, curious, expressive, and alive in a way that made the world around him feel bigger. He was drawn to the quiet magic of the outdoors, collecting rocks, searching for arrowheads, and finding four-leaf clovers as if the earth were speaking to him. Music was the heartbeat of his life. He poured his spirit into his guitar, writing songs, and creating tracks with his brother Jay and with other musicians who felt like family.

He loved deeply and fiercely. Justin had an infectious personality and a heart of gold. He never met a stranger. His compassion was instinctive and effortless, guided by a strong spiritual connection with God and the universe.

Justin could walk into any room and light it up. He had a contagious smile and a special way of making people laugh. His presence was a gift, and his memory will continue to echo in the lives he touched.

Justin is survived by his father, Jason Nagel; mother, Elizabeth Nagel; brother, Jay Nagel; sister, Darien Nagel; nephew, Nicholas Nagel; fraternal grandmother, Carol Giffith; maternal grandmother, Nelda Clarke; honorary grandmother, Denise Neely; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Nagel; maternal grandfather, Bobby Clarke; fraternal grandfathers, Fred Nagel and Harvey Griffith; uncle, George Clarke.

Funeral services will be conducted at Forest Rest Natural Cemetery on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at the same location. Attire is casual and dress warm.
