Kathey Dianna McIntosh

Kathey Dianna McIntosh, age 65 of Rocky Mount, VA and formerly of Carthage, NC passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026 surrounded by family.

Kathey was the daughter of the late Alton and Shelba McIntosh; and was also preceded in death by her brothers, John, Donnie, Steven and Spencer.

She is survived by her children, John and Loretta; and five grandchildren. Kathey is also survived by her loving sister, Sally; niece, Amber; and best friend, Susan who provided exceptional care and support in her final years. Also surviving are siblings, James and Patricia; along with extended family members.

Kathey dedicated much of her life to caring for others as a longtime hospice nurse, where she brought comfort and dignity to countless individuals and families.

Those who knew her will remember the unmistakable way she expressed joy—often with clapping hands and a sparkle in her eyes.

In her final days, Kathey was cared for with the same compassion she had given so freely throughout her life. The family is deeply grateful for the hospice care extended to Kathey at the end of her life,

Kathey will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Services will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
