Kathleen Greer Truman

Kathleen Greer Truman, age 86, of Hardy went to be with the Lord Thurday, December 17, 2015. She was the owner of Greer’s Grocery and also an employee of Kenrose Manufacturing. Kathleen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Truman. She was also preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Greer; and brother, Gilbert Greer. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Maurice Oakes, Lura and Kenneth Plybon; brothers and sister-in law, Junior Greer, Lewis and Dollie Greer; grandchildren, Jennifer and Joe Steele, Tiffany and Tim Hodges, Colby Plybon, Arvie and Tracy Oakes, April and Damon Stultz, Samantha and Josiah Weaver, Kaitlin and Billy Tyree; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Dennis St.Clair, Marylin, Maggie, and Noah Oakes- Chitwood, Jordan and Henry Yopp, Trevor Mitchell, Charlie Oakes, Skylour, Reagan and Carly Stultz, Bethany Grace Tyree, Ashley, Summer, Amanda, Tori, Autumn Steele; great-great grandchildren, Ellie, Grace, Nathan, Miya, and JoLynn. Kathleen was a faithful member of Franklin Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeffrey Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Flora Funeral Service, 665 S. Main St. Rocky Mount, VA.
