Kenneth Dallis Altice, 68 of Glade Hill passed Saturday, February 25, 2012. He was born March 30, 1943. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Leonard A. Altice and Eva DeLancey Altice Boitnott; step-dad, Lewis Boitnott; father–in-law, Bob Mason; sister-in-law, Rose Mary Mason. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 42 years Ann M. Altice; daughter, Kristi Altice; brothers, Clay (Loretta), Jan (Colleen) and Justin (Janet) Altice; mother-in-law, Arnita Mason brothers-in-law, Cecil (Joyce), Bill and friend Mildred Dalton, Nathan (Marjorie) and George (Ellen) Mason; aunt, Clarice Waldron; step-sisters, Catherine(Pap) Hodges, Betty (David) Lawrence and Becky (Dean) Bolling; 16 nieces and nephews; many other special family and friends. He was a member of Redwood United Methodist Church, a Vietnam veteran who proudly served with the US Army, a member of the American Legion Post 6 and a member of the Southwest Virginia Antique Engine Club. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Redwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Bradley S. Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family request memorial donations be made to Redwood UMC Building Fund or Glade Hill Rescue Squad. His family will receive friends 5-8 pm Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
