Kenneth Lee Barnett

Kenneth Lee Barnett, age 39 of Dallas, TX, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, February 5, 2013 after a short battle with cancer and is survived by his parents, Ova Lee and Nadine Barnett of Rocky Mount; sister, Teresa Helton and husband Dexter of Boones Mill; two step-nieces, Aeriel and Sierra Helton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved Schnauzer, Riley; two special lifelong friends, Kimberly Anderson and Wendy Wood; as well as many wonderful friend. A special thank you goes to Denise Grimes and Layne Riley of Texas for everything they did to help. Kenneth graduated from Franklin County High School in 1991 and Bridgewater College in 1995. He later went on to receive his Master’s Degree. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 with Rev. David Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
