Kenneth Ray Hatchett

Kenneth Ray Hatchett, age 77 of 827 Danbury Road, Penhook, Va. 24137 left this world to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2016. He was born July 12, 1938 a son of the late Benjamin and Venera Walker Hatchett and was also preceded in death by his brothers and sister-in-law, Bobby and Linda Hatchett, Tucker Wright. Kenneth was a tobacco and beef farmer his entire life and was a member of Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. Surviving are his devoted and loving wife, Marie Hatchett; daughter, Donna Hatchett and friend Tim Fowlkes; son, Dwayne Hatchett and wife Susan; granddaughter, Kendra and friend Chris; grandson, Chase; a dear beloved brother, Tony Hatchett and wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Florence Wright; brother-in-law, Billy Hill and wife Eleanor; very special great-nephew, Jalen Hatchett; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many good friends at the country stores. Funeral services will be conducted at Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Mike Gallimore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boones Chapel Church Building Fund, c/o Jeremy Adkins, 16405 Snow Creek Road, Penhook, Virginia 24137.
