Kermit L. Shively, 83, of Ferrum, passed away Friday, May 15, 2009.
He was born February 6, 1926, a son of the late Mark and Lula Hatcher Shively. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Millard Shively; and sisters, Geneva Hodges and Opal Thompson.
Surviving are four sisters, Mildred Scott, Mary Sauers, Estelle Thompson, Virginia Hodges (Leslie); one brother, Garvis Shively; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, with Dr. William Shively officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Ferrum Fire Department or Ferrum Rescue Squad.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
