Kermit O. Toler

Kermit O. Toler, age 94 a lifelong resident of Franklin County died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of Glade Hill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Gladys Brown Toler; and one great-grandchild, Travis Toler. Surviving are his two sons, Buddie and wife Marie Toler, Wayne and wife Gail Toler of Franklin County; three grandchildren, Michael Toler and wife Lori, Kim Bruggemann and husband Willis of Franklin County, Greg Toler of Alexandria, Va; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Aaron, and Kaylee Bruggemann; and two step-great-grandchildren, Leslie and Logan Cook. The family respectfully request that food be omitted. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor David Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Toler Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
