Kimberly Carol Meador

It is with great sadness that the family of Kimberly Carol Meador announces her passing after a valiant battle with cancer. Kim went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2021. She was   48 years old of Boones Mill, VA. She was preceded in death by father Percy Edward Meador, Jr.

Kim graduated from Franklin County High School and continued to receive a bachelors in education and a Masters in teaching special education from Liberty University. Kim was wise beyond her education and people of all ages in life sought her advice and benefitted from her teaching skills. Her students and peers will remember her witty and unique lessons.  Kim started her teaching career at Windy Gap Elementary School and was currently teaching at Benjamin Franklin Middle School, where she was committed to teaching to the very end. She was a kind woman of faith and lived life serving the lord. In her spare time Kim loved cooking for others. It brought her great joy to give to people in need.

Kim is survived by her mother Carolyn Jean Dent Meador; loving partner Rodney Dent; sister Sherlyn Meador Moore (Richard); grandmother, Virginia Meador; niece Hannah Moore (AKA “Soul Child”); nephew Austin Moore; and her sweet furry companion, Gracie; special aunt and friend Kitty Pagans; Other extended family and lifelong friends. Special thanks to first responder Justin Heinz.

A private Graveside service for family and friends will be held at Dent Family Cemetery, 11: 00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 with Rev. Denver Turner officiating.

A service to celebrate Kim‘s life will be held at a later date.
