Lamarka Raymond Casey

LAMARKA R. CASEY, 30 years of age, passed on Thursday, April 26, 2018, in his hometown of Rocky Mount, Virginia. Born on April 14, 1988, LaMarka, "Tank:' was the oldest of three children born to Mark and Martha Casey of Penhook, Virginia. He was a 2007 graduate of Franklin County High School and was employed as a welder by Nexhaul Trailers in Rocky Mount. In May 2009, he married Rehannas Whitmer of Ferrum, Virginia and to this union were born three sons, Malakai, Tristen and Julian. In addition to his wife and sons, LaMarka is survived in life by his parents; one brother and sister, Mathanual Casey and Elyse Holland, both of Penhook; aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends. LaMarka was known for being an accomplished wrestler, football player and shot/disc athlete. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple treasures, whether it was going fishing with his father, spending time with his precious boys or hanging with the "horsemen LaMarka will be sadly missed. Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 1, 2018 at Rocky Mount Church of God. Interment will follow in the Hancock Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
