Larry Lane Ellington

Larry Lane Ellington, age 72 of Wirtz died Wednesday, December 4, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.L. (Duke) and Jean Ellington; sister and brother-in-law, Linda E. and Klaus Neigert. Surviving are his wife, Kathy G. Ellington; son, Roger L. Ellington; and brother, David Ellington of Colorado. Larry was a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. He was a former employee of J.P. Stevens and Lane Company and was presently employed by Virginia Paving Company. Funeral services will be conducted from Sandy Ridge Baptist Church 2 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
